Medical Plans

All of our U.S. Full Time Associates (non-union) and their eligible family members (spouse and children up to age 26) are eligible for Medical and Dental coverage after you have completed 30 days of full-time employment.  Depending on your work location you have the choice of one of two PPO medical programs through United Heath Care or Aetna. 

Dental Plans

All Full Time Non Union Associates are eligible for dental coverage after 30 days of full-time employment.  With a choice of one of the following two dental plans options:  Aetna Dental or Aetna DMO Dental Plan.

Vision Plan

Rust-Oleum offers to all its U.S. Full Time Non Union Associates vision care coverage.  You can choose from one of two carriers Vision One which is a discount vision plan that is free with your Aetna Medical coverage.  Of EyeMed, also a discount vision plan that you can purchase to cover yourself and your dependents.

401(K)

All U.S. Non-Union Associates are eligible to participate after 21 years old and 3 months of continuous service. You are automatically enrolled at a 3% contribution unless you change your contribution level with Wells Fargo.  Your contributions are matched: the first 3 percent at 100%; the 4th and 5th percent matched at 50%. You may contribute to your account with pre-tax dollars (traditional 401k) and/or after-tax dollars (Roth 401k).

Flexible Spending

Eligible for all U.S. Full Time Associates - Flexible Spending Accounts are set aside pre-tax dollars to reimburse yourself for health care and/or daycare fees that you may currently pay with after-tax dollars.  This lowers your taxable income for the year.   

 

Disability

Available to all U.S. Full Time Associates – Short Term Disability (STD) is Company-paid time off due to non-work related injury or illness.  Your pay continues through 26 weeks (180 days) of an illness or injury.

Long Term Disability (LTD) benefits begin once you have exhausted 26 weeks (180 days) of continuous Short Term Disability (STD).  LTD benefits are paid through our insurance carrier, Prudential, after you are medically certified.

Mortgage Insiders Program

A benefit that assists in the home buying process. Receive $500 cash back after closing, plus a $750 closing credit and more for using the services through Quicken Loans. 

Adoption Benefit

Eligible for all U.S. Non-Union Full Time Associates, An adoption benefit of up to $5,000 is available to associates who adopt a child.  Documentation is required.  Payment is taxable.  

Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D) Insurance

All U.S. Non-Union Full Time Associates qualify for the company provided basic Accidental Death & Dismemberment Coverage (AD&D) of two times your annual earnings with up to a max of $300,000 Compensation.  You also have the opportunity to purchase optional AD&D insurance.  You may elect to purchase coverage in an amount equal to one, two or three, four and five times your prior calendar year’s salary up to $300,000.  You may elect the Single Plan – coverage for yourself only or the Family Plan – coverage for you, your spouse and your children (as applicable). 

 

Employee Assistance Program (EAP)


Available to all U.S. Full Time Associates, The EAP, which is managed by ComPsych, offers counseling services for you or your family members and is available 24 hours and 7 days a week.  The EAP can help you and your family with:  work stress, family issues, coping with change, anxiety/depression, anger management, alcohol or drug issues, and grief or bereavement. 

Legal Plan (Legalshield)

Offered to all U.S. Full Time Associates, LegalShield gives you the ability to talk to an attorney on any matter without worrying about high hourly costs.  In addition, we also offer an Identity Theft Plan benefit.

Scholarship Program

Eligible to all U.S. Full Time Associates, Rust-Oleum offers a scholarship opportunity to the children of full time Rust-Oleum associates.  The one-time scholarship in the amount of $2,500 is awarded each year to several outstanding (senior) high school students who will be attending a two or four year accredited college or university during the upcoming year.
